LIGHTSHARK LS1 DMX CONTROL UNIT
The LS-1 is a cutting-edge new range of hardware lighting consoles being the first full web browser based DMX-based hardware lighting console which can be controlled from a multi-touch device, with support for up to three connected devices simultaneously. LS-1 sets a new standard for features and usability.
LS-1 has running in its core LightShark, the Lighting software platform which makes this console a new concept of lighting control and brings together the best features from the world of innovative software-only lighting control and marries them to an intuitive, ergonomic hardware control surface.
Thanks to the LightShark software engine, LS-1 features 8 DMX universes via sACN and/or ArtNet, detailed control of color and gobo options via palettes, comprehensive grouping options, CueList operation with up to 1200 Cues and Lists, customizable automation via an elegant , easy-to-use graphics-based Executor window, special effects and fanning, built-in support for an ever-growing library of lighting Fixtures.
Because the LightShark control software runs on the console itself, and the Wi-Fi-connected tablet or smartphone is merely controlling it via a simple web browser, the control software is fast and responsive, as well as offering the benefits of real-time, multi-touch control. For those professionals who prefer control via a physical user interface, it's worth remembering that once set up and assigned, almost all aspects of the LS-1 system can be controlled entirely from the hardware surface; a generous LCD display on the right of the control surface shows how the physical controls are assigned at all times, and updates when the user switches between control assignment Layers. LS-1 users therefore have the freedom to control their lighting systems via the browser-based control software, a combination of the LS-1 hardware and their preferred mobile device, or the LS-1 hardware alone, according to personal preference.
All of the required hardware interfacing is available on the back of the LS-1 console (including Artnet, a DMX Out for control of one 512-channel DMX Universe, and an Ethernet port for access to a further eight DMX Universes), along with to USB connector for updates. With a further nod to ergonomics, there's even a built-in stand to hold a device (iOS, Android, Windows, Linux) on the back of the LS-1, and an extra, dedicated USB charging socket on the rear panel to keep associated tablets or Smartphones charged at all times. Designed from the ground up as a complete lighting control system, and shipped with the browser-based control software pre-installed on the Wi-Fi-enabled console (Safari, Chrome Firefox and Opera are all supported), the LS-1 includes everything apart from a suitable tablet or Smartphone in its retail price.
LS-1 has been designed to fit 19'' Rack standard size and it is available as an accessory to install the unit rack mounted.
